Kristen Borchers | Owner and Principal Journalist of Veritas Chronicles
Kristen Star Borchers is a bio-scientist, linguist, educator, researcher, technical writer, and student of ancient Greek, ancient Hebrew, and theology. She is, unquestionably, the heart and soul of the not-for-profit-social-impact purposes of Veritas Chronicles (and its for-profit affiliate Veritas Global Alliance).
Her colleagues liken her to the angel or cherubim placed to the east of the Garden of Eden, armed with a flaming sword which turned in every direction (see Genesis 3:24). She’s like that: gentle … yet a fierce warrior for the cause of faith and trust in God.
She is a constant reminder to all of her colleagues and everyone she meets to follow the admonition of Paul: (See KJV Hebrews 12:1-2) … let us lay aside every weight, and the sin (and trials) which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us … looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross. She reminds us all to look up with faith and courage, to not merely strive or endure this life’s trials, setbacks and peaks, but to run, even skip with joy and gratitude for the privilege of being able to know and to trust in the promises of God.
Kristen holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a Master of Arts in Religion and Theology, plus many years of teaching sciences, mathematics, and languages. She has an insatiable inquisitiveness that drives her research, which when combined with an erudite, engaging writing style, and natural interviewing presence, results in dynamic and inspiring communication.
Kristen worked previously for a Pennsylvania based software company, where she contributed to advanced research and literature reviews, for strategy papers on diverse subjects such as changes in current government policy, newly passed governmental policies, advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning, autonomous weaponry and vehicles, and cloud-based software engineering. Her research supported the vice presidents of partnerships, strategy, research, and operations, along with the firm’s scientists, researchers and leading clients. Those clients included, Department of Defence, Pentagon, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Geospatial Intelligence Operations (GEOINT), United States Air Force, United States Army, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), West Point Military Academy, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Argonne National Laboratory, Department of Energy (DOE), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Science Foundation (NSF), Center for Disease Control (CDC), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), National Institute of Health (NIH), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), General Services Administration (GSA), National Cancer Institute (NCI), Small Business Administration (SBA), as well as private sector businesses. The engagement with these entities gave Kristen an inside view of the advances of artificial intelligence and its growing impact on the world. Kristen is the single mother of six boys, ages 11-20. Her oldest son is serving in the Air Force and her second son is a Marine. A fierce patriot, (a mother who is very proud of all her sons), Kristen offers enthusiastic support for her family’s commitment to the US military, and holds great respect for all servicemen, servicewomen, and veterans.
During the past 25 years, she has participated in and led dozens of hands-on social impact missions across the USA, Central America and the Caribbean, aiding with health care, food, clothing, home construction, orphanages, and education. Kristen is an accomplished teacher and writer, with a strong background in scientific research and linguistics, including the ability to function easily in any Spanish language setting. Kristen’s bold faith and bright spirit are a beacon on a hill to all within her sphere of influence.
